About the Middle East Hotelier Awards 2007:

From the official website: The Hotelier Middle East Awards… They reward the often-unrecognised individuals that make the region’s hotels some of the very best in the world. They give those back-of-house heroes that so often go unnoticed their chance to shine, and bask in the glory bestowed upon them by their peers.

Now in its fourth year, the Hotelier Middle East Awards recognises a broad range of front- and back-of-house roles. From laundry managers to chefs, procurement managers to front office personnel. This year there are 17 award categories.

As in previous years, there is also the grand prize - The Hotelier’s Hotelier of the Year - a category open to anyone that works in hotel operations. This award is for the real unsung hero, who chops vegetables all day, sweeps lobby floors, valets parked cars; cleans rooms, serves coffee, maintains the security of the hotel, and always manages to have a smile and a ‘Can do’ attitude.
