  • The Young Hotelier TEA Lounge - Exclusive Hotel Industry Discussion Forum

    What is it? We call it the TEA Lounge (Talk, Engage and Ask) – this is an exclusive discussion forum geared towards hoteliers and is a place to ask and answer questions related to joining, learning about and working in the hospitality industry.

     

    Who can access it? Everyone. Guests and visitors can browse through the forums. However for access to all features, you can register (for free) on the forum – this allows you to post new topics, answer those posted by others, create an interesting profile, upload your photo or use an avatar, send private messages to other members and more! To visit the TEA Lounge, just surf over to www.younghotelier.com and click on the TEA Lounge link at the top of the screen…or go directly to www.younghotelier.com/lounge

     

    How can I register? Just visit the forum and click on the “Register” link below the forums. When registering you will be asked to choose a username and password as well as provide some basic details. You will also need to enter a security code you see on the screen. Once you submit your registration you should receive an email confirmation…the account is then approved by an administrator and you will be able to login after getting the email confirming your account activation.

     

    How do I update my profile and photo? Once you have registered and been activated, all you need to do is login and click on the “User Control Panel” link towards the top left of the page – this gives you access to change your basic details, update your profile (Note – we have quite an extensive & different profile to highlight your most interesting aspects, so make sure you fill it out and compare with others J), upload a photo (called an avatar – max 90 X 90 pixels, file size: 6kB), change your communication preferences and much more.

     Ok – all done… what next? Well…start Talking to, Engaging with and Asking other hoteliers. The purpose of the forum is to encourage sharing of information & ideas as well as build a support community based on trust and reliability. We even have a special Q&A forum where members can post their questions and have them answered by anyone in the community (that includes YOU!).   Things to watch out for: Ensure you’ve browsed through or searched the forums before posting a topic or question to avoid double-posting. Also, please avoid any advertising, spamming, offensive content and posting any confidential or proprietary information on the forums.
