Video Interview with Dubai Hotel Director of Sales & Marketing, Stefan Friedl

When asked what it is that Mr. Stefan Friedl admires most about his hotel. ….. It was in fact the people who both work and stay at the Mina Seyahi!! Stefan’s experience boasts both national and international hotel brands but his closest memories to heart shall always remain with Sheraton as this was where he learned to walk in the industry.

He reminisces about the times when his colleagues and he even contemplated branding themselves with Sheraton tattoos! In his earlier day’s part time work and holiday coverage in bars frequented by hoteliers ignited and fuelled his passion for people and this fascinating industry! Advice tips from Stefan…. Ensure you are not holding a first generation Polaroid camera that has low batteries and one photo left when facing encounters with the likes of Cindy Crawford! Like his first Sheraton experience is held close to heart, so too is his first motivational leader! To this day Stefan still draws on those key lessons he learned from his first superior, Mr. Guido De Wilde. He recollects how this man had mastered and still maintains that key to the art of people! Both internally in the organization and externally he proved to be an inspirational leader and the advice offered back then still applies today………As for Mr. Friedl’s advice to those considering the hospitality industry…. .Undoubtedly FUN…. But there is a little more to it than that! It is a people’s business with ever changing and fascinating experiences but it is not just your job that you do for the money. It has to be your passion more than your profession! Find out more…… the upcoming struggle for talent, Dubai talent or should we be looking further afield?
