i m employed in Saudia Arabia and managing Front office department in the Easten province. Being an Indian i can sence the arabs too have good knowledge of standard hospitality but fail to present it preofessionally. The need is to first understand and later introduce these international standard in hospitality world of Saudi Arabian natives. However Dubai unlike the other arab nations has set a banchmark not only through the peninsula but also arround the globe.

"Hospitality is innate among the Arabs as it is among the Swiss however the Swiss have taken it to a higher level by opening this hospitality to all, perfecting their art and bestowing it on everyone willing to learn.”
Swiss hotel's education is worldwide reference;even the hospitality is innate among the Arabs, but we need to learn best practices in hospitality management, understanding guests satisfaction and introducing quality concepts and tools to the curriculum's in order to leverage students/learner skills. As quality trainer this is what I try to give to my students. Finally I think a benchmark is needed to compare and analyze hospitality education and training in any country to the swiss hotel's education.
