Our Vision: To be a home to hoteliers everywhere!

So what is it all about?

YoungHotelier.com is about embodying the spirit, knowledge and expertise of those who are involved in the hospitality industry and have made that life choice to devote their time and efforts to serving others. Be the change you want to see! Life is a promise, fulfill it……

Our aim is to help you enjoy this journey and have fun along this pathway to success. We believe that success is the ongoing process of striving to become more. This road to success is always under construction, it is a progressive course not an end to be reached. The “Young” has nothing to do with your age; it simply reflects your youth and energy at heart! Irrelevant as to your age or position held your vested interest and passion in this industry determines your aptness to become a member of this club! In our eye’s success is not measured by the position or role you hold but by the obstacles you have overcome to get there and going from failure to failure without losing this enthusiasm. If you think you have this enthusiasm then welcome to your new home! A home to young hoteliers and service experts alike!

We want to help talented people like you to reach their full potential and develop your confidence. Remember confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong.

  • Be Different – Be bold. Cherish and celebrate the differences. In our daily ever-changing routines we encounter situations where it is not necessarily our fault, but it is our problem to resolve. Be different in embracing those challenges and bold in your desired perfection in your outcome!
  • Have fun and keep it real – If you do not possess that passion for people then you may just be in the wrong business! If you don’t love what you do, leave! Remember if you don’t love it, then how do you expect to get others to love it and inspire them to follow in your footsteps?

We believe that in this ever changing industry there are great leader’s who have the ability to touch the lives of others. While one can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful places in the world, it takes people to make those dreams a reality. It is a rare but true talent of great leaders to inspire others! Younghotelier.com features innovative tools such as the young hoteliers “Tea Lounge”, exclusive video interviews with industry gurus and these are just to mention a few. We are confident that this will give you the opportunity to share experiences, stories, best practices and endless moments of laughter amongst your industry counterparts and ultimately in time inspire others to follow in your footsteps!

Your greatest successes in life are more often than not brought about by overcoming your greatest challenges. Managing people is a position that you acquire. Coaching is a position of choice. It is a mind set that can be applied to all aspects of life, or more simply said it is a philosophy of life. Teaching people is imparting knowledge and skills through training, but coaching people empowers that person in body, soul & mind to engage in whatever challenge they are faced with. It was Socrates who said
“I cannot teach anybody anything, I can only make them think, which is far superior to passing on my little wisdom”

Coaching is our philosophy; it needs to become a part of your daily life and work ethic as you lead others. The more we coach rather than teach people to solve their own problems the more our organizations will grow and prosper. At Young Hotelier.com we understand coaching as accessing the inner knowing in people, and bringing it into action. In a nutshell developing potential in people and in ourselves Remember if you as a leader do not get it right then your followers are never going to get it! If you do not challenge good people you will lose them! Hence we start with you, the right visionary leaders & coaches! 

The Young hoteliers club is simply a starting point for you, our basic philosophy shall remain constant as we know what we want to accomplish – showcase to the world hospitality talent like you and celebrate your ingenuity and imagination. Our vision is to become a home to young hoteliers and hospitality expert’s everywhere. We invite you to share this vision…..life is a promise, fulfill it!

HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

  • Articles, News and Reviews: If you have material you would like to share with other young hoteliers around the world, just send it to us to be featured on this site using our Feedback Form or email to news (at) younghotelier (dot) com. Please note that material must be original and not copied from any other source - if you are submitting material from another source, please provide a link to that source and author details.
  • Videos: If you have videos that pertain to the hotel industry or hospitality / tourism / travel and think it may interest other young hoteliers, please send us the link and we’ll feature it. Your video may be hosted on any popular video service like YouTube.com, etc. We also have a YouTube Channel where all our site videos and exclusive interviews are featured!
  • Q&A:  We want you to ask the questions that matter …to you and other young hoteliers! To facilitate this purpose, we have our very own forum (currently under construction) called the TEA Lounge (Talk - Engage - Ask) where you can participate, ask and answer. We would like to pioneer an “Answer Guarantee” on our forums, to ensure relevant questions are answered on time and young hoteliers who need help are given due attention. You can help by answering questions and even joining as a moderator! More to come on the forums when fully active.
  • Personalities: Someone you think should be featured on this site? Let us know! We are always looking for personalities and people who make this industry what it is.
  • Facebook Group: ‘Younghotelier.com’ also has a Facebook group …join and connect with others worldwide! This is an open group, so all young hoteliers are welcome to join.
